Timothee Chalamet and Armie Hammer will both be returning, along with the rest of the cast, for the Call Me by Your Name sequel.
Luca Guadagnino, who also directed the first film, confirmed the news in an interview with La Republica, saying it's been a "pleasure" to work with both actors.
The 2017 film, set in Northern Italy in 1983, follows the love story of a seventeen-year-old American student and the older man hired as his father's research assistant. Together, they share an unforgettable summer of music, food, and romance that change their lives forever.
The film is still in the early stages of production – Luca spoke of his intention of meeting with writers in the US. However, with the coronavirus pandemic, production has halted for the time being.
