Prince William and Prince Harry will play stormtroopers in The Last Jedi

Cape Town – Rumour has it that Prince William and Prince Harry will have feature in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

And now John Boyega has confirmed that the royals will in fact play stormtroopers alongside Tom Hardy and Take That singer, Gary Barlow.

Last year the brothers were given a tour of the set at Pinewood Studios sparking rumours that they will make an appearance in the new instalment. (Read more here

During a roundtable with The Hollywood Reporter Boyega who plays Finn spilled the beans. 

According to the publication's sources the four will appear in a scene together and will be guarding Finn in a lift. 

Speaking about the experience Boyega said that it was more fun than intimidating and that it was a great experience.

The royals join other famous people who have made a cameo as stromtroppers such as Daniel Craig who appeared in The Force Awakens

Sar Wars: The Last Jedi opens in South African cinemas on 15 December.
