Michelle Yeoh joins the 'Avatar' sequels

Cape Town – Michelle Yeoh has been cast in the highly anticipated Avatar sequel scheduled for release in December 2020.

The former Bond girl will play scientist Dr Karina Mogue in all the upcoming sequels.

"Throughout her career, Michelle has always created unique and memorable characters. I look forward to working with Michelle to do the same thing on the Avatar sequels," said James Cameron.

Michelle is recognised as one of the greatest and the most successful international actresses. She can most recently be seen starring in John M. Chu's romantic comedy, Crazy Rich Asians, and in CBS' Star Trek: Discovery.

Michelle will next be seen in Paul Feig's Last Christmas alongside Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding.
