Keira Knightley says sleep deprivation helped her with her new role

Cape Town - At the London premiere of drama Aftermath, Keira Knightley reveals how sleep deprivation played a part in her performance.

The film directed by James Kent is based on the novel of the same name by Rhidian Brook.

It centers on a British colonel and his wife who are assigned to live in Hamburg during the post-war reconstruction, but tensions arise with the German man who previously owned the house.

Elaborating on the film she said that it is extremely relevant today because it is about learning not to "demonise" each other.
