It's your desi girl, Bashiera, reporting for duty with some good news amid this nationwide lockdown. Netflix just added some of our favourite classic Bollywood films – and yes, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is officially available to stream!

Hold on to your dupatta for the musical numbers and grab the tissues for all the rest – putting this together I realised for almost every one of the films listed below Netflix described it as "emotional", and I mean, I felt that.

It's tough growing up seeing Sharukh Khan's character development over three completely separate films. The man went from a jerk in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, to a devoted son who happens to fall in love with the wrong girl in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham to a man who would do anything for the woman he loves but can't be with her in Kal Ho Na Ho.

But the truth is, I love everything about those classic Bollywood films, right down to the slow runs through the flower fields and the dupatta that blows in the wind every.single.time.

So Rahul, take a chill pill, and check out these classics and new Bollywood films available on Netflix right now.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

During their college years, Anjali was in love with her best-friend Rahul, but he pretty much did a dirty on her when Tina came along in her sexy 90s metallic mini skirts. Years later, Rahul's eight-year-old daughter, Anjali (yup, Tina made him name their daughter Anjali; it was her dying wish – she knew what she did) attempts to reunite her father with his college best friend, the OG Anjali.

Lagaan

During the British Raj, a farmer named Bhuvan accepts the challenge of Captain Andrew Russell to beat his team in a game of cricket and enable his village not to pay taxes for the next three years. I never thought a movie about cricket could evoke so much emotion in me. But this, after all, is about so much more.

Kabhi Khushi Khabie Gham

After marrying a woman his father doesn't approve of (because she's pretty much just poor), Rahul is disowned by the family (but pretty much just his dad) and moves to London to build a new life. Years later, his little brother, Rohan, who grew up to be quite the catch, finds out what broke the family apart and embarks on a mission to bring Rahul home. He enlists Poo, aka, the Indian Regina George, to help. Sounds hilarious but you'll be crying from start to finish.

Kal Ho Naa Ho

An introverted Naina's life changes when she meets and falls in love with Aman. But he has a secret of his own, which pretty much results in him pushing her away and into another man's arms. Enter Rohit, who is really a nice guy, shame, but he's just not quite Aman. A lot of hearts are broken – including mine. I cried for three days straight after watching this.
