First trailer released for Tom Hanks' new movie

Cape Town – The trailer for Tom Hanks' new drama A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood has been released.

The movie stars Oscar-winner Tom Hanks as legendary TV entertainer Fred Rogers.

The biopic will focus on the friendship between the host of Mister Rogers' Neighbourhood and journalist Tom Junod played by Matthew Rhys.

Junod, who is a journalist reluctantly agreed to profile Fred Rogers only to find his perspective on life transformed.

The movie is directed by Marielle Heller (The Diary of a Teenage Girl) and also stars Susan Kelechi Watson (This is Us), Chris Cooper (American Beauty), Enrico Colantoni (Veronica Mars) and Maryann Plunkett (Blue Valentine).
