Cape Town - Is Armie Hammer in final talks to play the titular role in The Batman?
This comes after it was announced that Ben Affleck will not be returning in the role for the stand-alone movie directed by Matt Reeves. (Read more here)
On Tuesday rumours hit the internet that the Call Me By Your Name actor was one of many names linked to play the Caped Crusader.
However, in an interview with Yahoo Movies UK the actor debunked the rumours.
"No one who can actually give me the job has asked me if I’m interested. I can conclusively tell you that no one has checked my availability, which is a bummer," said Armie.
In 2007 Armie was cast in the role of Batman for George Miller's Justice League: Mortal, however the film never came to fruition as the movie was cancelled just days before it was set to begin filming.
