HERE ARE THE 5 NEW FILMS IN SA CINEMAS:
Movie: Toy Story 4
Our rating: 4/5
Short review: Toy Story 4 lives up to its legacy with wholesome existential crisis, but was another Toy Story necessary?
Movie: Tolkien
Our rating: 4/5
Short review: The film does no damage to the reputation of the prolific author that created some of the most celebrated fantasy books ever published
Movie: Booksmart
Our rating: I wish this movie were around when I had just finished high school, but I am so happy it exists for today's teens.
Short review: 5/5
Movie: Ma
Our rating: 3/5
Short review: Octavia Spencer takes on the character of Ma so well that without her, this would just be another teen thriller.
Movie: Anna
Our rating: 3/5
Short review: Anna is a much more irreverant, enjoyable and flat out bizarre spy thriller than it might first appear and is bolstered by a storming lead performance from newcomer Sasha Luss who easily holds her own against wonderfully fun performances from the likes of Cillian Murphy and Helen Mirren.
