Why Meghan Markle didn’t join Prince Harry’s meeting with the Royal family
Cape Town - Since the Sussexes excused themselves of their Royal roles, the world’s eyes have been fixated on them.
Following their announcement to become independent from the Royal family, Meghan returned to Canada where she joined their eight-month-old son, Archie, while Prince Harry attended a meeting with his family in London.
Meghan was initially meant to call into the Sandringham summit from Canada whereby her and Prince Harry’s future roles would be discussed, Hello!Magazine reports.
But a palace source says “the Sussexes decided that it wasn’t necessary for the duchess to join,” according to E!News.
Following their anticipated meeting Queen Elizabeth released a statement which claims she fully supports the pair’s decision to relieve themselves of their royal duties.
This statement comes after Prince Harry and his older brother Prince William, released a joint statement amid the Sussex drama split.
Prince Harry is set to continue discussions with Her Majesty while Meghan and Archie settle into their new life in Canada, Channel24 reports.
