Cape Town – Royal baby Sussex is here, and Prince Harry and Meghan couldn't announce the news without paying tribute to the late Princess Diana.
News that Meghan went into labour broke on Monday afternoon, shortly thereafter, Buckingham Palace announced that the duchess had given birth to a healthy baby boy at 05:26 Monday morning.

It was then announced that Meghan's mom was present for the birth and is "overjoyed by the arrival of her first grandchild".

Thereafter it was announced that certain members of the family were informed of the birth, namely: Queen Elizabeth, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Charles Spencer (aka 9th Earl Spencer).

The first six family members are expected in the announcement as they are 'immediate' family members.
The last three however - Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Charles Spencer who are Diana's two sisters and brother – were not expected as neither Diana's family members nor Kate's were named in the royal family's announcements of the births of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's three children, E! News reports.
Sharing his excitement about the birth on Twitter, Charles wrote: "Really very lovely news today - many, many, congratulations! (Good to have another Taurean in the family....)"

The only close family member who was not included in the announcement is Meghan's estranged father, Thomas Markle.
Harry and Meghan are expected to introduce baby Sussex to the world on Wednesday, two days after his birth.
