Prince Harry and Meghan launch their very own Instagram account

Cape Town - Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have launched their very own joint Instagram account. After deleting her personal social media accounts before tying the knot, Meghan is now back on Instagram, this time sharing the spotlight with her husband. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex captioned their first Instagram post: "Welcome to our official Instagram.

On Wednesday, 1 May Sussex Royal unfollowed all but 16 accounts. Of the unfollowed accounts was Kensington Palace, prompting fans to further believe rumours of a family feud between the royal brothers and their wives.

A post shared by Sussex Royal however, explains why the specific 16 accounts were followed and others unfollowed, adding that the accounts followed will change monthly.

"May is Mental Health Awareness Month in the US and May 13-19 is Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK.

"To pay tribute to all of the incredible work people across the globe are doing in this space, we are hoping to shine a light on several Instagram accounts that promote mental well-being, mental fitness, body positivity, self-care, and the importance of human connection - to not just hear each other, but to listen."

The caption alongside a collage of some of the accounts they are following, further adds: "Each month we will honour this same concept and change the accounts we solely follow based on a different theme or cause. Please go to our homepage and click “following” to see each of the select accounts and find out more about their work."
