Cape Town – The world may now refer to her as the Duchess of Sussex but to her besties, she’s still just “Meg”.

In an interview with People magazine makeup artist and longtime friend of Meghan Markle’s, Daniel Martin admits the first thing he thought about after the royal wedding is what he was going to call his BFF.

“I asked her that. ‘Do I bow to you? I don’t want to disrespect you, but I’ve known for almost ten years. What’s up?” Daniel, who helped Meghan get ready on her wedding day, explained,

Meghan, elegant as ever, simply responded to her friend that she will “always be Meg-Meg.”

Daniel went on to share deets about what was happening on the morning of the royal wedding.

According to the make-up artist there were only four people helping Meghan get ready for her special day – himself, hair stylist Serge Normant, dress designer Clare Waight Keller and Meghan’s mom Doria Ragland.

He added: “She didn’t seem nervous. She was very cool, she was regular Meghan.

“I think we were nervous, but we didn’t want to make her nervous, so it was very chilled. Of course, brides have nerves, but if we didn’t put so much expectation on it, it wouldn’t have made her nervous. It was very even, very easy.”
