Sarah Ferguson says Princess Diana would be so proud of her daughters-in-law
Cape Town – Sarah Ferguson has opened up about how proud she thinks the late Princess Diana would be of Princes William and Harry.
It has been 21 years since the Princess of Wales was killed in a tragic car accident in Paris. Since then her two sons have grown up to carry on their mother’s legacy through new charity initiatives and have reached personal milestones, too.
In an interview with Good Morning Britain on Wednesday, the Duchess of York paid tribute to Diana.
Speaking about all the accomplishments William and Harry have made, Fergie said: “Even before they got married, Diana would have been just literally going, ‘I can't believe these boys have done so well.’ They are such a credit to her. Incredible.”
When asked if she misses Diana, Fergie answered: “I miss her. No one made me laugh better than her… she was hilarious.”
The 59-year-old added how moved she always was by Diana’s “enormous compassion”.
Speaking about what she thinks the People’s Princess would have thought of William and Harry’s wives, Catherine and Meghan, Fergie said: “I honestly think she'd be so proud of the wonderful Meghan and Catherine, as well. She’d want to embrace them and say, ‘You're doing well.’”
