Princess Eugenie joins Instagram with inspiring message

Cape Town – Princess Eugenie celebrated International Women’s Day with the launch of her personal Instagram account.

The Duke of York's official Twitter account announced the exciting news on Thursday, saying: “Princess Eugenie has joined Instagram!”

The British royal’s first post is a video of herself at the We Day UK charity event in which she talks about her battle with scoliosis as a young girl, in the hopes of encouraging those who are also struggling with the condition to “live fearlessly” and never give up.

Alongside the video, Princess Eugenie, 27, wrote: “I can think of no better day than today, International Women’s Day, to launch my personal Instagram. I hope to use this platform to share the causes, passions and people close to my heart.”

This comes after the royal family announced Princess Eugenie’s engagement to longtime boyfriend Jack Brooksbank in January.

The couple will tie the knot at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, the same venue as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, on 12 October.
