Prince Harry has been in contact with his good friend, Dr Jane Goodall.

The primatologist and anthropologist revealed she’s "been in touch" with the royal when she spoke to the Radio Times, reports People.

"I don’t know how his career is going to map out," she commented, "but yes, I’ve been in touch, though I think he’s finding life a bit challenging just now."

Harry and Meghan are currently settling into their new life in Los Angeles with 11-month-old Archie after stepping down as senior members of the royal family in March.

The famed conservationist is good friends with the Sussexes, collaborating with Harry many times before to talk about climate change and protecting the environment.

Last year the two featured together in Meghan’s Forces For Change British Vogue issue – and the 86-year-old visited Meghan and Archie ahead of its release.

Getting to cuddle Archie she said he was "very cute" and "gentle" – but that wasn’t the only remarks she made about the littlest royal at the time.

In a rather telling comment, perhaps, months before Harry and Meghan made their decision to take a step back from the royal firm, Dr Goodall recalled making Archie "do the Queen’s wave".

"I suppose he’ll have to learn this," she said, to which Harry responded, "No, he’s not growing up like that."
