Johannesburg - With protocol prohibiting royals from taking pictures of each other with the public, it isn’t every day that you’d see Prince Harry (34) taking a snap of his wife with a fan – but in this case it seems the gushing husband just couldn’t stop himself.
During their first public appearance after announcing their pregnancy on Monday, 14 October, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (37), currently on a visit to Australia, interacted with members of the public who were eagerly waiting to see them outside the Sydney Opera House, People reports.
As the royal couple engaged with the crowd a curly-haired nine-year-old girl, wearing a T-shirt with the words “Girls Can Do Anything”, caught the prince’s attention.
After noticing how much she looked like Meghan he asked the little feminist if she’d like to meet his wife, then called the former Suits star over to have a chat with her, Teen Vogue reports.
“We feel she looks a bit like you,” someone in the crowd said, to which the duchess responded, “I was literally about to say the same thing!”
Meghan added that she loved the little girl’s T-shirt, E! News reports.
Harry was so excited he agreed to take a picture of his wife with her little mini-me.
The royal couple are expected to meet their own bundle of joy in autumn (spring in England) next year.
