Meghan Markle smiled as she attended her last engagement as a senior member of the royal family with Prince Harry this week.
Though the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will only officially step down on 31 March, they concluded their farewell tour in the UK at the Commonwealth Day Service with the rest of the royal family on Monday.
Harry matched the lining of his blazer to Meghan's emerald green Emilia Wickstead dress – but royal fans were quick to point out the Duchess of Sussex was clearly bowing out with a tribute to Diana.
Princess Diana wore a jewel-toned dress, complete with a very similar-looking headpiece to Meghan's William Chambers one, in 1982, when she attended the annual Trooping the Colour Ceremony and was photographed on the palace balcony.

Meghan Markle had a very fashionable exit, smiling at every engagement. Vanity Fair even went so far as to call Meghan's farewell a "master class in revenge-dressing".
Hey, remember when Diana's 1994 off-the-shoulder, fitted silk LBD was also dubbed her revenge dress after she attended a party just moments after Prince Charles admitted his infidelity in an interview?
But I digress.

This isn't the first time Meghan slayed channelling her mother-in-law though.
In 2019 Meghan wore all-black with a broad hat when she stood on the balcony at Buckingham Palace on Remembrance Day. So did Diana on Remembrance Sunday in 1991.
