Cape Town - It seems the Duchess of Sussex’s plans for a home birth were dashed after she was secretly taken to a private hospital on Sunday by Prince Harry and their Scotland Yard security team, reports claim.
Daily Mail revealed Meghan (37) – who was a week overdue – was whisked off in secrecy, so secret that not even senior royals were told of this plan.

According to Mirror UK, Meghan was most likely taken to the Portland Hospital in London where Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were delivered.
Portland Hospital is where Britain’s rich and famous go to give birth, including Victoria Beckham.
A basic delivery at the hospital costs around £15 000 (R284 000) and offers new mothers a luxury hotel-like experience.
It is reported that the duchess had hoped to give birth at Frogmore Cottage after months of planning.
Meghan remained at the hospital overnight and gave birth to a baby boy at 5:26 on Monday morning.
Harry did not specify a location when he spoke to the media from Windsor after the birth announcement.
"I'm very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy this morning, a very healthy baby boy," he said.
"Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It’s been the most amazing experience I can ever have possibly imagined. How any woman does that, what they do is beyond comprehension.
"We’re both absolutely thrilled and so grateful to all the love and support of everybody out there, it's been amazing so I just wanted to share this with everybody."

Full details will be included on the baby’s birth certificate which is likely to be completed by the royal couple in the next few days.
