Cape Town - It seems Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (37), is going to lose another staff member.

The former actress is reportedly going to have to do without Samantha Cohen, a key staff member, right after giving birth next year, Daily Mail reports.

“Sam will be a huge loss,” a source close to Meghan said. “Going forward, Meghan might need someone cut from a slightly different cloth to traditional courtiers, who’s not a career civil servant or royal insider.”

The 50-year-old Australian, nicknamed The Panther, has spent 17 years working for the royal family as a communications secretary and was one of the queen’s most trusted staff members.

Samantha’s rumoured departure comes just months after Meghan’s personal assistant, Melissa Touabti (39), quit six months after Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry (34), Mirror reports.

After Melissa resigned, Kensington Palace released a statement paying tribute to the PA.

“Melissa is a hugely talented person,” the source said. “She played a pivotal role in the success of the royal wedding and will be missed by everyone in the royal household.”

In recent weeks several reports of Meghan’s difficult behaviour have surfaced.

An insider revealed that The Duchess usually wakes up at 05:00 and messages royal staff members with ideas and requests approximately six to seven times a day, E! Online reports.

“Meghan needs someone with reserves of energy and patience to help her define her future role,” an insider said.
