Cape Town – The latest royal baby Sussex rumour swirling is that Meghan, Duchess of Sussex has already given birth.

Following Meghan and Prince Harry's announcement to keep the birth arrangements private fans are speculating that the new royal is already here!

According to Express UK the final sentence of the couple's statement, released last week, is what has convinced people he/she has already arrived.

The statement reads: "The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family."

Adding fuel to the rumours is the fact that Meghan has already begun her maternity leave, having retracted from the public eye completely.

The duchess was last spotted on an unofficial visit to a wellbeing boutique alongside Prince Harry on 29 March.

Photos, obtained by Daily Mail, show the couple leaving the flagship Ilapothecary store - which offers a range of homeopathic treatments for new mothers - in Kensington, west London.

JUST RUMOURS

There are however hints that Meghan has not yet given birth but that the baby is arriving soon.

Meghan's maternity leave started on 20 March, making it less than a month that she has been off. Kate, Duchess of Cambridge went on maternity leave almost exactly a month before giving birth to all three her kids.

Another indication is that Prince Harry has not yet gone on paternity leave, something that will only commence once the child is born – much like Prince William's arrangements when his kids arrived.

The Duke of Sussex most recently stepped out on Thursday, 11 April to officially open the OneSide Youth Zones in Barking and Dagenham.

Time will only tell as the couple have confirmed that they will do a photo call a few days after the birth of their baby.
