Harry, Meghan and Archie to vacation with the queen this summer!
Harry and Meghan will reportedly return to the UK not too long from now – this time, with 10-month-old Archie.
According to the Sunday Times, the Sussexes will spend their summer vacation with the queen at Balmoral Castle – her Scotland home. They will also attend the annual Trooping the Colour, along with the rest of the royal family, in June.
The news comes after Harry and Meghan wrapped up their royal duties this week, following their decision to step down as senior members of the royal family. After an emotional start to 2020, Harry and Meghan bowed out at the Commonwealth Day service on Monday with the queen, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Charles and Camilla.
E! News spoke to a source who confirmed Harry and Meghan's return this summer. "Harry and Meghan accepted the Queen's invitation to spend time with her at Balmoral in Scotland this summer," the insider said. "They plan to take Archie with them. Last year, they declined her invitation, which caused a bit of a stir, as they took Archie to Ibiza and to Elton John's [vacation home] in the south of France."
Harry and Meghan recently chose not to bring Archie along when they concluded their farewell tour, and it reportedly saddened the queen. It was due to concerns surrounding the spread of the coronavirus in the UK. But it looks as though the queen will get to see her grandson very soon.
