Harry and Meghan secretly leave Canada to settle in new LA home

Harry and Meghan have officially left Canada – which is turns out was only a temporary home for the Sussexes – and settled in Meghan's hometown, where her mom currently stays, Los Angeles.

The Sun broke the news on Thursday, with several publications confirming that the couple made the move just before borders were shut between Canada and the US. According to HELLO! Magazine, they haven't left their new home amid the coronavirus pandemic (but Prince Charles has been in contact with the family after he tested positive for the Covid-19 virus).

Though there was speculation that the couple was planning to move – an insider previously revealed to People that the duke and duchess were "looking at houses in LA" – it seems to have been a rather quick, and lowkey move.

Not much else is known about the move, but a source previously revealed to E! News that there were a few important factors in choosing their new forever home. "Meghan would like to be able to do meetings at the house and also be able to host friends and entertain," they source shared.

It seems as though both Harry and Meghan are hard at work as they continue to set up their new foundation. Harry has spent much of his time gearing up for the Invictus Games – which has now been postponed due to the coronavirus – while Meghan's already got a new Disney documentary which will premiere as soon as April.

The couple has also been sharing resources and information on fighting Covid-19, making it their new focus on Instagram.

On Monday they shared a poignant message writing, "Around the world, the response from people in every walk of life, to protect and look out for their communities has been inspiring. Wherever you are in the world, we are all incredibly grateful."

They also participated in the #Clapforourcarers campaign but posting to their Instagram Story on Thursday, "Applauding you from across the pond."
