Cape Town - It seems the phrase “happy wife, happy life” is one that even the royals adhere to.

Since marrying into the royal family, Meghan (37) has shaken up the conservative monarchy and influenced Prince Harry (34) to drop some of his bad habits.

From no more drinking and smoking to skipping pheasant shooting traditions, Meghan has had quite the influence on her man.

HERE ARE 5 THINGS HARRY HAS GIVEN UP:

1. Greasy foods

According to a book written by royal expert Katie Nicholl called Harry: Life, Loss, and Love, the former actress encouraged Harry to clean out all the junk food in his fridge and replace it with fresh fruits and vegetables, that the pair often cook together, Vanity Fair reports.

2. Alcohol

Since finding out about his wife’s pregnancy, Harry has decided to give alcohol a miss, Express reports.

“Considering he’s been a pretty brutal drinker since he was a young teenager, it’s quite an achievement,” an insider told the news outlet.

3. Smoking

Before Harry and Meghan’s wedding in May, the prince started slowly cutting down on the cigarettes before quitting altogether.

4. Hunting

Since Meghan doesn’t support hunting, the duke decided to give royal family’s annual Boxing Day pheasant shooting day a miss out of respect for his new bride, Daily Mail reports.

5. Caffeine

It seems Harry will have to find another pick-me-up drink since he’s given up caffeine to support Meghan during her pregnancy – not even tea will be consumed!
