Cape Town – She may be one of the most watched, and busiest, public figures right now – but Meghan still has time for a sneaky getaway with friends.

The Duchess of Sussex recently took some time off from royal life for a sneaky trip to Toronto where she reportedly spent time with her mom, Doria Ragland as well as some friends.

In new reports, Meghan’s commercial round-trip included some quality time with her best friend, Jessica Mulroney and her husband Ben.

According to ABC News the new addition to the royal family “spent three days holed up” at her friend’s home in Toronto.

“They spent their days catching up, cooking together and, of course, playing with Jessica's children, who love their Auntie Meg,” ABC News royal contributor, Omid Scobie said.

Scobie added: “There was one evening when Meghan and Jessica secretly headed out into the town to meet some of Meghan’s old, good friends.”

Meghan and Jessica met after the Duchess of Sussex moved to the Canadian city to film legal drama, Suits.

The visionary style consultant and her family played a major role in the royal wedding earlier this year.

Jessica and Ben sat front row in the church while their 7-year-old twin sons, Brian and John served as page boys and their 4-year-old daughter, Ivy, served as a bridesmaid.
