Cape Town - Melissa Baizen, from Wisconsin in the United States, is often mistaken for the award-winning actress and at times even stopped to sign autographs, The Sun reports.
The 37-year-old woman started being mistaken for the A-lister after Angelina (44) appeared in the 1999 movie, Girl, Interrupted.
"The reactions vary," Melissa said.
"Some will just stare and whisper to who they’re with and others will say, 'Wow you look a lot like Angelina Jolie!'
"Or I’ve gotten some comments like 'Where’s Brad [Pitt]?' Some people just think I look familiar and [I don’t know] why."
Melissa, who has more than 5 000 followers on Instagram, often shares images of herself dressed up as one of Angelina's most famous characters, Maleficent, and some of her followers can’t tell the difference.
"Wait is that you or Angelina?" one user commented.
