WATCH: Chrissy Teigen accidentally put her email address on the internet and ended up having a conversation with a 'nice stranger'

Cape Town – Chrissy Teigen made a new friend in the most unexpected way.

"Fuck I posted my email address lmao," she tweeted on Tuesday, before sharing she was convinced things would've turned out a lot differently.

"Oh my god people are FaceTiming me," she wrote.

"Was 100% sure this would be a penis but nope just a nice stranger."

After the FaceTime call, Ricardo spoke to PEOPLE, telling them he was "shocked" that she answered the phone. "[I] could not believe it was her."

The call was short, but had it been longer the fan said he would've told her he loved her and John and he'd love to meet them one day.

"And to follow me on Twitter!" he added.

The Lip Sync Battle host eventually stopped taking calls, knowing full well it could've gone on forever because she once made a similar mistake. She once responded to someone of Twitter revealing she accidentally published her phone number on her dog's collar who was photographed, of course, as part of her family in her cookbook Cravings.
