Cape Town – In a recent interview with Esquire, Star Wars actor Billy Dee Williams came out as gender fluid.
"I never tried to be anything except myself," the actor famous for his role as Lando Calrissian in the franchise told the magazine’s Matt Miller.
"I think of myself as a relatively colourful character," he continued, "who doesn’t take himself or herself too seriously.
"You see I say 'himself' and 'herself' because I also see myself as feminine as well as masculine. I’m a very soft person. I’m not afraid to show that side of myself."
As the legendary @realbdw returns to Star Wars, he talks about his masculine and feminine sides, the legacy of Lando, and how after 82 years he’s never lost his style. https://t.co/wJOjAGZ0Eo via @Official_Mattm
