Cape Town – Richard Gere, 69, and his wife Alejandra Silva, 35, have welcomed their first child together.
The couple – who tied the knot in 2018 – welcomed a little boy “a few days ago” in New York City, a rep for Richard confirmed to E! News on Monday.
Alejandra confirmed her pregnancy in September after she and Richard had shared the news with the Dalai Lama, to honour Richard's spiritual beliefs - the actor is a practicing Tibetan Buddhist.
This is the first child for the couple. Richard has 19-year-old son, Homer, from his marriage to model and actress Casey Lowell and Alejandra has 6-year-old son, Albert, from her marriage to Govind Friedland.
According to People magazine, the Pretty Woman actor and the publicist had known each other for 10 years before they started dating in 2014.
