Priyanka Chopra talks marriage amid Nick Jonas dating rumours

Cape Town – She may still not have confirmed her relationship status but make no mistake Priyanka Chopra will get married when she is ready to.

The Quantico actress took part in a panel discussion at the Forbes Women's Summit in New York City on Tuesday.

Joined on stage by Pepsi CEO Indra Nooyi and Moira Forbes, Priyanka spoke about marriage and children in the context of her rich Indian heritage, Daily Mail reports.

Priyanka told the audience: “Because I’m in my 30s, which is obviously over the hill, my mother said to me, ‘You’ll get married the day you find someone who appreciates how hard you worked to get where you are.’”

The 35-year-old added that she is not in a hurry or concerned about leaving having children too late.

“We have science [for having babies].”

On the topic of weddings Priyanka revealed that she has always loved the idea of fairy tales, but is more concerned about what happens after the fairy tale wedding.

“I loved fairy tales growing up.... but every fairy tale ends when the princess gets married. What happens AFTER she gets married?”

She added that the best advice her father ever gave her was to not to aspire to be like Cinderella waiting for the glass slipper, but to rather break the glass ceiling.

Priyanka’s comments about marriage has come amid rumours that she is dating singer Nick Jonas.

The rumoured couple looked to be getting serious after Nick took Priyanka as his date to a family wedding.
