Cape Town – Selena Gomez is celebrating the holiday season in the best way – surrounded by friends and family in the snow.
The 26-year-old announced on Instagram in September that she would be taking a break from social media. She then admitted herself into a mental health facility to help her cope with anxiety and depression.
On Tuesday, pictures of Selena looking to be having the time of her life on the slopes in Big Bear Lake, California.
Photos shared by her former Wizards of Waverly Place co-star, Bailee Madison, as well as a couple of the It Ain’t Me hitmaker’s friends, show Selena smiling and pulling funny faces while wrapped up in a black coat and beanie.

The outdoor adventure marks Selena’s first public outing since recently leaving her treatment program in New York City.
The Back To You singer has long suffered from depression and took time off from her career in 2016 to focus on her mental health and get treatment for her anxiety.
In her first interview since her recent break from the spotlight, Selena opened up to Elle magazine in October about how her own insecurities motivated her to team up with Puma for a new active wear range.
“I get really insecure sometimes. I go through weird ups and downs, but in general I just want people to wear what they feel comfortable in.
“I think it’s important for girls to know the strength in everything, their identity and their soul, lies within themselves.”
