PIC: Trey Songz introduces newborn son Noah with first snap

Cape Town – Trey Songz has confirmed that he has welcomed his first child – a son named Noah.

The Na Na hitmaker first sent fans into a frenzy when suggesting the happy news with a black and white photo of a baby's foot with a blue heart emoji as the caption.

Trey - whose real name is Tremaine Aldon Neverson - later shared a photo of the baby, confirming his son's birth.

"My son Noah. We are blessed and overjoyed. Peace," he wrote alongside the photo of adorable baby Noah.

Trey made no mention of who the baby's mother is and has not been linked to anyone since his split from 22-year-old Lori Harvey – who is TV host Steve Harvey's youngest daughter – in February, Daily Mail reports.

The 34-year-old has always wanted to be a father, People reports.

In an interview with Charlemagne Tha God on The Breakfast Club in 2015, Trey said: "Man I want kids. I’ve been wanting children before you could even imagine. I raised all the kids in my family."

He added: "No, but I want kids, I want a family all of that. But I’m not in a rush to do it because people think that’s what should be happening in my life or that I need kids or my momma been begging me for a grandbaby or any of that, I just want to make sure that it’s the right decision."
