Paris Hilton recently got candid about ending her engagement in November – and she’s loving her solitude.
The reality TV star, who described her 10-month engagement to actor Chris Zylka as something that "wasn’t the right decision", still stands by her words, E! News reported.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan UK, Paris revealed she enjoys being single and how good it feels "not having someone controlling" her.
"With dating certain people, [there’s the risk of] not trusting them and the fear [that] if I go out of town they might do something to embarrass me. I feel lucky now to not have that fear because I’m independent," she said.
She added that ending her engagement in which she received a 20-carat ring worth $2 million (R30 million) from The Leftovers actor, wasn’t difficult, Fox News reports.
"It was the best decision I’ve ever made in my life," Paris said.
"I just don’t think [he] was the right person and I feel like I’m an incredible woman and I deserve someone so amazing. It just didn’t feel right."
Paris now spends her days indulging in me-time. "I just feel that when I fall in love I fall in love fast and hard and it was this whirlwind romance," she added.
