Nick Carter gets restraining order against brother Aaron after he threatens to kill his family

Cape Town – Nick Carter has just gotten a restraining order against his brother, Aaron Carter after he made serious threats to his family.

In a thread on Twitter, Aaron wrote: "So my brother just got a restraining order against me. And I was just served lol."

"Take care," he wrote, tagging the Backstreet Boys alum: "We're done for life."

The news comes just days after the I Want Candy singer revealed his bipolar disorder, schizophrenia diagnoses and huffing addiction on The Doctors.

Nick didn't respond directly on Twitter, even though his brother, in a string of tweets, also brought up his alleged rape accusations. He did release a statement though explaining the reason for seeking a restraining order. The statement read:

"After careful consideration, my sister Angel and I regret that we were required to seek a restraining order against our brother Aaron today. In light of Aaron's increasingly alarming behaviour and his recent confession that he harbors thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family. We love our brother and truly hope he gets the proper treatment he needs before any harm comes to himself or anyone else."

Aaron denied the claims, according to E! News. Instead, the 31 tweeted: "I am astounded at the accusations being made against me and I do not wish harm to anyone, especially my family."
