Cape Town - Kim Kardashian returned to Paris after being robbed in a hotel at gunpoint in 2016.

The 37-year-old was spotted roaming the City of Light with husband Kanye West (41), sister Kylie Jenner (20) and Kylie’s boyfriend, Travis Scott (27), on Thursday 21 June, reports E! Online.

The Keeping up with the Kardashian star attended Ghanaian fashion designer Virgil Abloh's inaugural show for Louis Vuitton at the label’s spring/summer 2019 menswear show.

The couple also took extra precautions with security this time around by hiring bodyguards with “muscle”, TMZ reports.

A close source told People that Kim was in a jolly mood and wasn’t afraid of being in the city.

In October 2016, while attending Paris Fashion Week, the business mogul was held at gunpoint by five men who took cellphones and jewellery worth $10 million (about R135 million).

Kim who has three kids, North (5), Saint (2) and five-month-old Chicago, with husband Kanye opened up about the traumatic ordeal on her reality show.

“They asked for money. I said, ‘I don’t have any money. They dragged me out to the hallway on top of the stairs. That’s when I saw the gun, like clear as day,” she said.

“I was kind of looking at the gun, looking down back at the stairs and I was like, ‘I have a split second in my mind to make this quick decision’.”

After the episode aired, Kim took to Instagram to thank her family for supporting her through the traumatic experience.

"I would never wish this experience upon anyone, but have learned some valuable lessons & feel so blessed to be safe home with my babies & husband,” Kim wrote.

“To my friends, family, and loved ones I can't thank you enough for being there when I needed you the most. To the French police, thank you for your incredible hard work.”
