Cape Town – Kim Kardashian has reportedly fired her long-time executive assistant Stephanie Shepherd.
According to People magazine, the reality TV star made the decision to professionally part ways with Stephanie after she failed to step up to a more demanding role in Kim’s businesses.
A source told the publication: “Kim made a decision to let Stephanie go. She was a good assistant but when Stephanie wanted to transition into a larger role with Kim’s brand and businesses, it just didn’t work.”
“Kim gave her the chance but after a short period of time it became clear that Stephanie just didn’t have the knowledge to take on a role like that,” the source added.
People went on to report that Stephanie – who met Kim through Kourtney Kardashian – and Kim are no longer on talking terms.
Meanwhile, a source close to the family exclusively told Us Weekly that there are no hard feelings between the two.
“Steph is still a part of Kim and her family’s life – she went to Kim’s birthday dinner and Kendall’s birthday party. There isn’t bad blood there. They still hang out and are friends.”
According to Us Weekly Kim and Stephanie’s professional relationship started spiraling down after Stephanie gave Refinery29 an interview detailing her life as Kim’s assistant.
In a recent episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim questions Kourtney about her close relationship with Stephanie after finding out that Stephanie confided in her sister about her job during a night out.
Kim first asks Kourtney if she finds it weird that she is so close with her assistant and then admits that she herself finds it “a little weird”.
