Cape Town - It’s been just over a week since Psalm West was born, and fans are already worried about the newest addition to the family.
Last week the Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to announce the arrival of her and husband Kanye West's fourth child.
"Beautiful Mother’s Day with the arrival of our fourth child," Kim captioned her post, featuring a text from Kanye and a photo of little Psalm sleeping. "We are blessed beyond measure. We have everything we need."
But fans quickly flooded the 38-year-old’s social media post, saying that the baby’s sleeping position could increase the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
SIDS is usually caused by soft sleeping surfaces or overheating, and sleeping on the stomach or side all put a baby at risk, according to the Mayo Clinic.

"Please follow safe sleep habits. It can reduce the risk of SIDS. Everything about this picture causes me anxiety," wrote one user.
"Please, please, please go pay an overpriced 'sleep consultant' to get all that unnecessary padding, bumpers, and blankets out of your child’s crib so they are not at risk of SIDS. I’ve tried and failed to resuscitate too many children that have died this way. Signed an ER Doctor," wrote a medical professional.
Kim has since deleted the photo on Instagram, but the post remains on Twitter.

The beauty mogul announced that she was expecting her fourth child in January during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, InStyle reports.
"Are you working on another child?" Andy asked the A-lister.
"We are," Kim replied. "It’s a boy, I think it’s been out there. I got drunk at our Christmas Eve party and told some people. I can’t remember who I told because I never get drunk."
