Cape Town - Kendall Jenner had to take a break from her career to focus on her mental health.
In a recent interview with British style magazine Love magazine, the model opens up about her struggles with anxiety and how she manages being in the public eye.
Kendall, who’s been linked to NBA player Ben Simmons, describes her anxiety as “debilitating, E! Online reports.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star decided to take a break from walking the runway because she felt overwhelmed by the pressures of her career, ELLE reports.
“Last season I didn’t do any shows, just because I was working in Los Angeles and I was like, ‘Oof, I can’t right now – I’m gonna go crazy’,” Kendall said.
“I was on the verge of a mental breakdown.”
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in January, Kendall opened up to her bestie Cara Delevingne (25) about her anxiety.
“I have such debilitating anxiety because of everything going on that I literally wake up in the middle of the night with full-on panic attacks.
“Where do I even start? Everything’s so horrible, it’s hard to name one thing.
“I just think that the world needs so much love. I wish I had the power to send Cupid around the planet, as cheesy as that sounds,” she said in the interview.
Recently, big sis Kim Kardashian jumped to Kendall’s defence on Twitter after her little sis came under fire over the news that Kendall’s Doberman had bitten a little girl outside a deli in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
“Do you know Kendall? She’s the complete opposite & is the most generous, compassionate person I know!” Kim wrote.
“Her being standoffish is anxiety that paralyzes her which u take as rude! Only a despicable, entitled, unsympathetic, sadistic, uncharitable @self-absorbed human would write this tweet.”
While the critics refused to back off, some of the Kardashian clan’s fans did go to bat for Kendall.
