Jersey Shore’s Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino checks into prison for 8-month sentence

Cape Town - Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino has officially started serving his 8-month prison sentence.

The Jersey Shore star checked into federal prison on Tuesday, where he will serve the sentence handed to him for tax evasion, Buzzfeed News reports.

A judge ordered The Situation to less than a year in prison followed by two years of supervised release, 500 hours of community service, a $10k fine and $123k in restitution, which has already been paid in court in Newark, New Jersey in October 2018.

Before he was locked up, The Situation hinted that he will be making a comeback after serving his time.

“The comeback is always greater than the Setback,” he wrote alongside a GIF of actor Ray Liotta saying, “Now take me to jail.”
