Johannesburg – Colin Firth and his wife Livia have reportedly separated.
According to USA Today, the couple's publicists released a joint statement saying that they "maintain a close friendship" and will "remain united in their love for their children."
The pair asked for privacy, refusing to comment any further on the matter.
Colin and Livia, who have been together for 22 years, share two sons – Luca and Matteo.
This is not the first time the couple have split.
People reports that in 2018 the pair revealed that Livia was involved with an Italian journalist while she and Colin were briefly separated.
Livia later accused the journalist of stalking her after the relationship had ended, but he denied the accusations, the publication says.
She later dropped the allegations.
