Cape Town - Antonio certainly knows how to get into character!
While promoting his new show, Genius: Picasso, in Madrid, the 57-year-old actor sported a clean-shaven head and eyebrows on Wednesday – and he totally pulled it off.
According to E! News, his new look is part of getting into character as the well-known artist, Pablo Picasso, for the upcoming National Geographic show, which premieres on 24 April.
"Greetings from The Westin Palace, Madrid. Today we present Genius: Picasso to the press," Antonia captioned photos from the event on Instagram.
The Spanish actor will be playing the world renowned artist in his later years, while Alex Rich will portray him in his youth.
According to ET Online, the Zorro star had a health scare last year after suffering a heart attack. He underwent surgery to have three stents placed in his arteries.
“I suffered a heart attack on January 26,” Antonio said in a statement.
“It was a benign attack, it hasn't caused any permanent damage and now I'm in a recovery period.
“It's something that happens every day to a lot of people. I didn't hide it, but I didn't want it to receive more importance than those suffered by other people.”
