Cape Town – The 2020 Met Gala theme has just been revealed and trust us, heads will turn – and we're not just talking about Jared Leto's decapitated head.
Next year, the theme for "fashion's biggest night out" is "About Time: Fashion and Duration".
Anna Wintour previously teased that the theme would be 'timeless'. "It’s under wraps," she said at Vogue's Forces of Fashion conference in October, "but I’ll just give you a clue, the dress code will be 'timeless'."
According to E! News, the theme was inspired by Sally Potter's 1992 period film Orlando, adapted from the Virginia Woolf novel Orlando: A Biography. The film was set in the 17th and 18th Century, and the Met Gala will, therefore, feature fashion of that time.
We predict you'll see many dressed in corsets, knee-length coats and fully-coiffed wigs!
