Cape Town - It's been nearly 13 years since Australian zookeeper Steve Irwin died after being pierced in the heart by a stingray barb.

Steve was filming a new docu-series, Ocean's Deadliest, when tragedy struck.

Now, years later, Steve's son is following in the giant footsteps of his father.

Robert Irwin on Thursday posted a photo on Instagram of identical side-by-sides pics of him and his dad feeding the same croc 15 years apart.

With an almost identical outfit and similar pose, Robert captioned the pic: "Dad and me feeding Murray... same place, same croc - two photos 15 years apart".
