South African skaters to take the rink with Disney On Ice

Cape Town – The ice-capade continues as Disney On Ice returns to South Africa and this year two local performers join the show.

Husband and wife performers, Johannesburg-born Konrad Giering and Pretoria-born Yolande Giering are set to wow local audiences as well as their own family and friends for the first time in SA.

This young and highly talented couple has known each other since they were five years old and are proud to represent their country as part of the Disney On Ice family, and aside from the excitement of performing at home, they are pleased their fellow skaters will have the chance to experience Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town firsthand.

Along with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy, soon Yolande and Konrad will take to the ice with beloved characters from Disney’s Frozen and Disney Pixar’s Finding Dory and Toy Story.

Plus for the first time in South Africa, Disney’s Tangled will debut on the frozen stage and more exciting news is the return of Simba, Timon and Pumbaa from Disney’s The Lion King.

The production will be at the TicketPro Dome in Johannesburg from Friday, 30 June until Sunday, 09 July 2017, then at the ICC Arena in Durban from Thursday, 13 to Sunday, 19 July, and at Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town from Wednesday, 19 July to Sunday, 23 July 2017.
