Local entertainer Skolopad was hospitalised due to stress on Sunday.
According to the Umzimba singer, she was admitted to hospital following a breakdown due to her "stressful work environment".
Numerous blood tests, revealed that the 33-year old suffered from Hypokalemia.
She was discharged on the same day.
Skolopad says that she has been under tremendous stress at work since June, saying: "I haven't been treated very well at work. But I love my job, it puts bread on the table. I have no other choice but to work."
The singer also expressed her frustration regarding local event organisers in the area of Qwaqwa: "It hurts me that event organisers don't appreciate me. I would appreciate advice from them as to how to get involved with their events, but they are not giving me an opportunity."
"I will continue to support them, and attend their shows. But this adds to my stress," she adds.
When asked if the health scare will affect her music career in any way, she says: "I want to continue with Skolopad, but it isn't easy."
"This year was not a good year for me. I nearly lost my life, and my job while working on my brand. If only I knew how stressful this would be, I might not have tried it at all," she tells The Juice.
She ends off my saying that she doesn't want people to fee sorry for her and rather asks industry representatives to advice her on what she need to do: "There are many kids looking up to me, and I want to be a good role model for them."
Following the recent drama, Skolopad also annouced that she will be taking a break from social media.
