She may be new to the TV industry but 21-year-old Luyanda Mzazi is already making a name for herself. Johannesburg based Luyanda is currently an actress in Mzansi’s popular soapie, Generations: The Legacy. Without any hesitation, this young star says she is going to make it big in the industry and in no time, we will be taking acting lessons from her.

LIVING HER DREAM

The actress who plays the character of Lesedi says joining the cast for her was a dream come true. “It's been an amazing experience. Working alongside with great talented actors who showed me the rope has been remarkable. They helped me to become a great performer. It's been humbling and so empowering,” she says. She explains that the cast and crew are filled with people who are helpful and willing.

HER LOVE FOR ACTING

“I have always been passionate with arts. When I told my parents about it they were supportive but they were not sure if I am choosing the right career,” she says. Her father then encouraged her to go for it but she must get a degree in case the acting job doesn’t work out. “I studied at the National School of the Arts for five years. I am currently studying Human Resources at UNISA. I got really obsessive with acting to a point where I even went for any castings if they are looking for people and that’s where Generations came,” she says.

GROWING AS A PERFORMER

She says it was really overwhelming for her be to be part of the biggest shows in the country as it is her first gig. “Being on Generations it is a dream comes true. I was really nervous but it’s been an amazing experience. I work alongside with talented artists which are helping me grow as a performer. It's been humbling and so empowering. She recently celebrated her 21st birthday with friends as she was splashing photos on her social media platform showcasing that she is a grown woman now.
