Cape Town - Tarryn Lamb, the lead singer from BlackByrd, will make her TV debut on the kykNET soapie, Suidooster.
She joins the show for six weeks as a guest character.
Her character in Suidooster is Kim, who is a fragile, mysterious, vulnerable and charming but self-destructive woman in her late twenties. Kim grew up in a slightly impoverished home and was swept off her feet by the charming and handsome Vernon Smith, a powerful night club owner with underworld strings.
Kim will cause quite a bit of turmoil in the close-knit community of Ruiterbosch, the fictional Cape Town suburb where all the drama and intrigues of Suidooster happen.
Tarryn is no stranger to acting - she’s recently completed filming a role in the upcoming Ellen Pakkies biopic and is a graduate of the Waterfront Theatre School.
"This is a dream come true for me,” says Lamb. “Acting has always been my first love - how could I turn down the opportunity to be a guest character on the amazing Suidooster?”
"Singing and performing with BlackByrd is so much fun and I have the chance to perform in front of thousands of people. TV and film acting is a whole different challenge and is something I intend on doing a lot more of this year and next."
Don't miss Tarryn’s debut episode on Wednesday, 24 May at 18:00 on kykNET (DStvChannel 144).
Suidooster airs Mondays to Thursdays and repeats at 20:00 on kykNET & kie (Channel 145).
