Cape Town – The Netflix documentary that became a media sensation in 2015 is making its return.
The cases of Steven Avery and his co-accused Brendan Dassey have kept audiences spellbound.
New episodes of the Emmy nominated, Making a Murderer will take viewers back into the case.
The news was announced on Twitter by the show's official account.

Filmmakers Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos are currently working on new episodes that will build on the story from season one.
It's no surprise that the show returns as since it aired there have been developments in the case.
Both Avery and Dassey have new legal counsel and new evidence has to come to light.
According to a Netflix press release season 2 will provide an in-depth look at the high-stakes post-conviction process, as well as, the emotional toll the process takes on all involved.
It will offer exclusive access to Avery’s new lawyer Kathleen Zellner and Dassey’s legal team, led by Laura Nirider and Steve Drizin.
“We are extremely grateful for the tremendous response to, and support of, the series. The viewers’ interest and attention has ensured that the story is not over, and we are fully committed to continuing to document events as they unfold” says, Ricciardi and Demos.
A release date and the number of episodes have yet to be announced.
