Cape Town – Former SABC COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng on Wednesday during a press conference said the Afrikaans radio station Radio Sonder Grense (RSG) "urgently needs to be transformed".
Hlaudi referred to the local radio station as "an island" and said "someone urgently needs to get their hands on it".
RSG was just one of Hlaudi’s many targets during a bizarre press conference in which he also lashed out at Parliament, the media, his haters and even SABC interim board member Krish Naidoo.
This isn’t the first time Hlaudi has threatened to transform RSG. During a Parliamentary committee meeting in August 2016 Hlaudi said he would "zoom in" on RSG to force transformation.
Hlaudi, who doesn’t currently hold an official position at the SABC, spoke for over an hour about his 90% quota plan whilst listing the accolades he has received during his career.
A crowd of supporters oohed and aahed at his every word.
Channel24 reached out to RSG for comment but had not received any feedback by the time of publishing this article.
