Find out who gets the chop on The Voice SA this Sunday

Johannesburg  - This week on The Voice SA the second batch of sixteen singers – four from each coach – will step up their game live on stage at Sasani Studios in Balfour Park Johannesburg.

They now have to blow both the coaches and the voting public away with electrifying performances. Karen Zoid, Bobby van Jaarsveld, Lira and Kahn Morbee will each save one of their team members and thereafter it’s up to fans to decide who the second “save” of the night will be.

In the meantime, the twelve talented vocalists who were not picked by their coaches last week will be waiting anxiously to find out which of them will continue their journey on the show.  The one with the most of the public’s votes in each team will proceed to the next round.

The three singers who are hoping to hear the good news in #TeamKahn are Vredendal’s El Clay (25), singer-songwriter Eden Myrrh (23) from Pietermaritzburg and the guy with the deep voice whose progress impressed the coaches, Clemour Ngobeni (24). For #TeamBobby fans will be holding thumbs for songbirds Nolene Olivier (24), Xanilee Hammond (20) and Lana Crowster (28 ) and in #TeamKaren it will be make or break for Marcel de Almeida (22), Jono Grayson (23) and Nadine Sisam (28). Then it’s still anyone’s guess as to who the voting public favoured from #TeamLira – will it be Meyrand Roux (28), Busisiwe Multaka (23) or Robin Pieters (25)?

The sixteen singers who will take to the stage this week are:

#TEAMBOBBY: 21-year-old AFDA student from Pietermaritzburg, Austin Lurring; the 37-year-old hairdresser from Cape Town, Kim Collins; 22-year-old Vernon Barnard from Strand in the Cape, who lost his eyesight at a young age; and 23-year-old bubbly student from Port Elizabeth, Zoë Mtila.

#TEAMKAHN: Francis Bowers (23) from Melkbosstrand; the classically-trained Johan Anker (23) from Port Elizabeth who is now a teacher in Johannesburg; the young Lara Gear (19) from Pretoria; and Prime Zulu (27) from Durban, who has become known for his emotional performanes.

#TEAMKAREN: 25-year-old Almur Marais from Stilfontein; 24-year-old Mbijana Sibisi from Durban; former backup singer Thapelo Lekoane (29) from Alexandra; and industrial psychology student Zaretha Duvenage (23) Pretoria.

#TEAMLIRA: the Pretoria duo Black Harmony; family man Jeremy Olivier (41) from Cape Town; Durban’s Jono Johansen (19); and 28-year-old Sibulele Miti from Cape Town.
