We catch up with Tresor as he prepares for charity gig OneSight Acoustics

Cape Town – It’s almost time for the second OneSight Acoustics event in Johannesburg at The Good Luck Bar.

What’s it about?

OneSight Acoustics is a music series brought to you by OneSight: a global public nonprofit organisation which provides sustainable access to quality vision care and eye wear to those who cannot afford it or do not have access to it. Around the world, millions of people suffer from poor vision. An eye exam and a simple pair of glasses can help them reach their full potential.

For over 27 years, OneSight South Africa has engaged thousands of skilled volunteers to hand-deliver the gift of sight to almost 9 million people in 40 countries.

The second event will be taking place on Sunday, 30 October at The Good Luck Bar and will feature artists Tresor, The Kiffness, Al Bairre and Michael Lesar.

We had a quick catch up with Tresor ahead of the show:

How are you doing and what have you been up to?

I am doing fantastic... Doing what I love, living my best life and making music all and day all night.

Congrats on your MAMA nomination! Will you be attending the awards ceremony and have you got your speech prepared yet?

Yes I will definitely be attending the MAMAs. If we win, I think I will just speak from my heart if I do win.

You’ll be performing at the OneSight acoustic event next weekend. Tell us more about the event and why people should attend.

It's an incredible charity event to raise funds to help people who can't afford eye care. Eyes are like the window to this mad beautiful world and I just want do my bit to help where I can.

Are you working on any new music? (We’re crossing our fingers!)

Yes I am working on my own music and writing for many other artists. All coming soon.

What’s next for you?

I am on the quest to take African music to all corners of the globe, that's my focus. Doing it one song at a time.
